Lake Vinuela/Puente don Manuel Area

The Spanish village of Puente don Manuel is within the Alcaucin district. There are plenty of local bars and restaurants serving traditional Spanish dishes and tapas. There are also English, Indian and Chinese restaurants to choose from. There is also a good supply of shops and a weekly farmers market where you can pick up fresh local produce.

The beautiful Lake Vinuela is just 2 minutes away (one of the largest freshwater lakes in Spain) providing fishing, sailing, horse riding, cycling and wooded areas for BBQs.

Mount Maroma national park is nearby for those who love to walk and take in the picturesque views.

Finally, just 10 minutes away is the large indoor shopping mall El Ingenio with designer shops, cinema, ten pin bowling, large supermarket and food hall.

This a popular beach town and is only 15 minutes away with lovely long sandy beaches, a variety of restaurants including Spanish, Chinese and Indian cuisine and plenty of bars and the adjoining Caleta Marina and the nearby Aqua Park makes Torre del Mar a favourite for families.

This famous resort is the place to be pampered yacht side and ogle those fabulous luxury yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many open air restaurants and bars. It is only a 1 hour drive away in the car along scenic coastal views passing through Torremolinos, Benelmadena, and Fuengirola.

Granada – Sierra Nevada
Famous for it Skiing in the winter months and for its many tourist attractions in the summer months is only 1 hour 30 minutes away by car.
